Hello BYB Parents/Athletes/Umpires,
It is with extreme sadness that the Bulldog Youth Baseball Board has decided to cancel the 2020 summer season. It was an extremely difficult decision and our hearts weigh heavy for our kids, but the restrictions and liability would make baseball extremely difficult and challenging.
Please be patient as we work through refunds in the next few weeks. If you feel so inclined and would like to donate your child's registration fee, please let us know ASAP. With the quiet summer ahead, we are planning to do some field improvements and would use these funds directly toward improving the Bulldog Youth Baseball facilities.
Umpires - I know a lot of you were looking forward to an awesome summer job/opportunity to help us as umpires. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and dedication to help our youth program and this sport grow!
Thank you very much to everyone for having hope and optimism as this process continues to unfold. We look forward to seeing you all at sign-ups again next season! Stay healthy and stay safe everyone.
Bulldog Youth Baseball Board
The BYB Board wanted to reach out to you all in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been a topic of discussion at our board meetings and has also been discussed at the WCYBB (summer league) meetings as well.
As of right now, WCYBB is planning that the season will proceed as normal and is not planning on cancelling or postponing the season. Because of this, BYB is continuing on with our plans as well. In order for us to do that, we need to make sure that all kids wanting to play ball are getting registered. Please sign up your player as the deadline is closing quickly. We need to know numbers so we can figure out the number of teams, coaches, and relay that information to the league so they can figure out schedules.
With this virus we all know that things can change quickly. Do not worry! If the season does get cancelled, you will receive a full refund. So, register your baseball player with confidence knowing that the BYB Board will take care of things.
It is also a great time to practice some "social distancing" by having kids get outside and play some catch or do some tee work by hitting into a net. Hoping by doing this it also brings a little bit of "normal" back to the kids' lives.
Moving forward, we will continue to monitor the situation and send updates as we know more. Stay tuned to our website (https://www.bulldogyouthbaseball.com/) and Facebook page for any updates. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay home!
