Winona County League (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U)

PEM kids will play in the Winona County Little League (8U, 10U, 12U & 14U).  This league has other area towns in it that we will travel to (and they will travel here).  Some of them may include: Dover-Eyota, St. Charles, Chatfield, Lewiston, Altura, Rollingstone, Minnesota City, Goodview, and Ridgeway.  This league sets the schedule and the nights that games are played.  Typically, practices/games are held on the following nights, but there may be slight changes depending on field availability.  Game times are typically around 6:30 pm.  We expect the first games to be the week of May 31st and the last games the end of July.

8U - Tuesdays (Games) & Thursdays (Practices)

10U - Mondays & Thursdays

12U - Wednesdays & Fridays

13U - Variable - Zumbro Valley League

Zumbro Valley League (13U)

Zumbro Valley Youth Baseball League Most Asked Questions

Website:  Please follow www.zumbrovalleybaseball.com for updates.

Season:  Our summer season normally starts around the beginning of June and goes until late July.

Game Format:  One game night a week will be scheduled.  Each game night consists of a double header.

Schedules:  The league will schedule an opponent for each week but coaches will have the ability to confirm game schedules with the opposing team to have the most available night of the week for their game.  Games can be moved around from week to week if scheduling conflicts exist on the week you are scheduled to play the opposing team.  If the league schedules 8 weeks of games for your division, it is strongly encouraged to play all 8 weeks of games before the season tournament to avoid affecting the league standings.

League Rules:  All league rules are posted on the website.  New bat rules are on the homepage!

Home Games:  The home team schedules their own field and umpires.  It is a requirement to be respectful of the umpires and opposing teams.  Most umpires are high school kids just trying to give back to the sport.  Issue s will NOT be tolerated.

Game Results:  The home team should report game scores via zumbrovalleybaseball@gmail.com within 24 hours so the results can be updated online.

League Tournaments:  These are optional and not included in the registration fees for each team.  League tournament info will be posted on the website.

Junior Legion (17U)

Bulldog Youth Baseball is offering a Junior Legion, program that replaces Senior Babe Ruth.  Games will be played in the evenings.  Junior Legion is made up of primarily 9th and 10th graders, occasionally some 8th graders.  Games could be 2 nights per week.  Schedule and details will be released in May.

JUNIOR LEGION:

  • Current 9th -10th graders (and potentially some 8th graders) are eligible to participate (NOTE:  This really isn’t an AGE thing…)
  • Games are at Eckstein (when we are at home), otherwise we play on the varsity field of the opposing team.
  • Game times are typically 6:oo
  • We are potentially going to hold practice once a week (say Wednesdays or Sundays) at a time to be determined.

NOTES TO PARENTS:

  • In the interest of financing, parents are being asked if they could provide their own gray pants for this league (it could be the same ones that your son used for other leagues of BYB)
  • Cost for this league is different from other BYB leagues, as of now, BYB will be charging $125.
